I think you are on to something. I am
interested in learing more about your
techniques. Is it possible to see a live
demonstration? I am familiar with how
conventional modern technology moves things. I
work in a large coal fired power plant. We have
two 150 ton overhead cranes for moving large
heavy objects (like generator stators, and
turbines), and numerous smaller cranes. When I
was young my grandmother taught me to move large
heavy objects by rolling them, but certainly not
on your scale.

have worked as a Grip in the film industry for
28 years. We are often challenged with the task
of moving heavy objects without the aid of a
crane. You would make an xlnt Local 80 Grip!
What do you say we get someone to donated a
building site- I will supply Local 80
volunteers and we build a pyramid the "old
school" way. Nothing like the like of Giza,
just one we could all be proud of. Give it some
thought, seriously. Send me an e-mail.

I'm blown away! I use to work with large 6 ft.
by 6ft. by 6 ft. rocks. They were square because
the were cut that way for rock mechanics
research. Untill we got them on a air bearing
platform, it was a real task moving them. I use
to say to myself, is this the way they built the
great structures that were left behind for us to
ponder? I knew we had it way wrong. I can't wait
to try it out and have no doubts.
Cheers ! Rick

Fascinating.
It is thrilling to see practical demonstrations
of ancient building methods.
The 'ancients' were extremely clever and knew a
lot about the use of laws of the universe.Far
from being 'cavemen and simpltons', they were in
fact very intelligent. They obviously had a good
knowledge of mathematics.
You, I suspect have given the first real insight
into how the pyramids were built. Many 'learned
people' have speculated on the process but never
been able to prove their theories.
Now- How were the Nasca lines in Peru created by
humans ?
Kind regards
Wally.

degree to solve problems.
Further, the solutions do NOT have to be complex
or expensive.
Man appears to have become a victim of his own
ego, and become blinded by the obvious.
The question must be raised;
How much has these Rediscoveries effected how
such things are being done today ??????
I suspect, very little.

I have a project that needs some work like this.
A ziggurat built on principles of the Golden
Ratio, a double spiral, about 10 m high, maybe
100m in diameter. Can you help me please? Let's
leave something for the next millenium to puzzle
over.

Once the stone is at the top(the Egyptian

Thanks for all of the wonderful insight, and

What has the response been from the
historians and archeologists? Have they
attempted to silence or debunk your
obviously valid theories about the
construction of ancient structures? I hope
not. Have you considered building a new
architectural wonder... something that will
stand the passage of time and leave a more
modern mark of the achievements of man...
and perhaps allow people to fully accept that
humans built the great structures of
antiquity?
If so, I'd like to help in either building or
designing. If not, perhaps lifting the fallen
Easter Island statues on international
television might be something that would
make a big impact. I believe someone else
suggested that in a previous message.
Either way, good luck, and continue your
work. There may yet be more.

I recently did a research project in which we
found that the 170 ton stone at Baalbek, Turkey,
was moved into place with the method you have
used here. We had not seen your method, but when
I saw it, I recognized it immediately. The
cross-country movement was possibly by another
method. We computed that it took 6 men to move
the stone.
BTW: Most of your pictures didn't show up when I

Mound Builders, Pyramid Builders, Monument
Builders and all the other large stone
construction civilizations are vindicated as
being highly sophisticated in their simplicity.
Modern society has much to learn about common
sense approaches to technology. You are like
Rutan (who just won the X-Prize for space
flight); demonstrating that even highly complex
projects do not require large investments in
either time or money. In his case, it did not
require NASA to get to space, it required twenty
people. In your case, it does not require
hundreds of thousands of people to build the
pyramids, only a small gang of skilled
technicians.

Just watched your DVD.
What fun !
I'm a retired artist (do we ever retire ?) and your web
page caught my interest. I'm always looking for new
things to learn about and you hit the nail on the head.
I will be showing my nephew what you have
accomplished, he's at the cross roads age (16) and
interested in space and history . I hope this ads to his
interest of the human experience.
When I saw you were from Michigan I had to see what
you where up to !
Thanks again for an interesting and educational time.

Fascinating. Makes me wonder if Pyramids, etc.
weren't built as recreation project. They had
no TV or books, and had to keep busy. Maybe
some form of government "keep 'em busy"
program. Think we should start building these
things all over the country and will keep the
so-called experts guessing for years in a few
centuries.
When do we start the pyramid. Ready to sign on.

I once had to move a 12,000 pound emergency
genrator in a basement of a building from one
side to the other i did this with 6 pieces of
pipe and 2 levers and 1 other person having
moved such a heavy weight so eaily I can see
were blocks of stone could also be moved in such
a fashion. however your technigue makes much
more sense as to how ancients moved those heavy
stones as they did not have the heavy steel pipe
etc back then and only had simple tools. I have
often wonderd while working at old buildings etc
how they did the work back then with all the
power tools etc we now have. Aparently they were
using some of your techniques along with the
rope and puleys

Hello, Wally!
I read about your site in the Oct. 4th edition
of the Detroit Free Press and just had to check
it out.
I feel that modern man has long over-discounted
the intelligence and ingenuity of ancient
civilizations, and your work shows proof. I
applaud you for having the wherewithal to even
try, much less to succeed.
I also think there is more to consider in your
work, mainly the possibility of utilizing sound
waves in conjunction with your leveraging
techniques.
Given just the right frequency and amplitude, I
believe applied resonance through heavy objects
can make them 'dance' with vibration, making
them nearly effortless to move.
I certainly don't have the know-how to apply
such technology to your work, but I'm sure you
could find people who can... and, together, you
could revolutionize constuction, transportation
and numerous other fields.
Keep up the good work, Wally! I'll be watching!

I think this qualifies you as a genius!
this is a brilliant and logical answer to the
building of megaliths in ancient times, and I
would imagine it would have been considered as
sacred knowledge. if it was then it was probably
coded into the rituals of those civilisations
using it, and a bit of diligent retro-inspection
by an interested scholar of ancient inscriptions
should produce the relevent evidence.
I guess megaliths will now pop up in the back
yards of megalith enthusiasts everywhere! cool,
I always wanted one of those ;)

I found your methods very informative. Their
have been attempts for many years to try and
determine how the Pyramids and Stonehenge were
built. None of them were able to make a
reasonable determination. As you demonstrated an
understanding of physics makes it possible. This
is a skill that the ancient builders would have.
These simple skills are still used in many parts
of the underdeveloped countries. I work alone
and at times have moved & raised rocks plus
removed tree stumps using no more that other
rocks, scrap lumber and levers.
Think you have solved a mystery that people have
been trying to solve for hundreds of years.

As a fellow guy who does "stuff that normal
people don't do" I appreciate your bravery in
pursuing your ideas while withstanding the
questions, and armchair critics - ok what are
you doing now.. etc.
Stick with it, you are doing some neat stuff.
Since you are using concrete, which makes
perfect sense, I thought you might ponder the
origin of concrete also. The stuff was
apparently discovered long ago, then forgotten
when Roman empire fell. And then re-discovered
in the 1800's. The "first" concrete bridge is
in Cincinnati. However the Roman parthenon
(sp?) has concrete in it's construction I have
been told and is in pretty good shape for being
almost 2000 years old. Anyway you would really
appreciate Rome with all of the amazing stone
buildings, pillars, etc which were done long
before heavy equipment. I'm sure that many of
your techniques were used back then to create
those buildings also. How soon we forget...
Thanks for putting the effort into your website.
And have fun! Dave

Saw the article about your work in today's Free
Press. I have been at the pyramids at Giza, many
temple sites in the eastern Mediterranean and on
Easter Island. Your projects make all of these
constructions easier to understand. You have an
excellent web site, Thanks for sharing.

It's amazing that this hasn't come to the

The DVD arrived the other day, thanks!
Naturally, I rushed it to my player as soon as I
got it unwrapped. It is a good testimony to your
personal research effort to (obviously) have read
up on ancient construction methods, given it some
serious thought to innovate ideas of your own,
and then got out in your "backyard" and got stuck
into experimenting in a really serious way. Well
done. The ideas you describe can be adapted to
different uses with further imagination of others.
I can appreciate that you are a researcher of the
true "gentleman scientist" variety that was
common long ago (sorry ladies, but they were
mostly men becasue social rules didn't give women
the same chance!). These gentlemen did all their
work in their own time, with their own funding
and without thought of commercial gain from their
efforts.

You are an inspiration. What is cool is that
the principles of leverage work in every area
of life, not just in moving heavy weights. You
can accomplished anything in health, education,
psychology, business, art, sociology, defense,
spirituality, even in creating world peace when
you know the magical way of doing less.
Contrary to what most people think, hard work
has absolutely nothing to do with success.
Success comes when you find the magical way of
doing less and avoiding the work. You are
proving just that. Congratulations!

I am very impressed. This is extraordinary work
and innovation. I have done some original work
and found that in most cases, even people that
are fascinated by and appreciate the
accomplishment, are not fully aware of the
magnitude or relevance of the processes. Though
the "thinking" is certainly original and an
integral part of the process, I am not sure that
I would assign it as the highest quality in your
project. You have a very special "awareness"
that begins with "noticing something" unusual
and "wondering about it in a particular way.
Some people do this, but most "let it go" rather
than become stubborn and innovative in its
investigation. Congratulations... As much on
your personal qualities as in the work you
demonstrate... Jim

Brilliant work! A few others, such as the
engineer Cliff Osenton in the UK, have come up
with similar ideas, but not demonstrated and
explained them so clearly and impressively. You
might also be interested in the website of
mathematics professor Stan Wagon (see
http://stanwagon.com/) who came up with the idea
of the "round road", but didn't see it as
anything beyond a curiosity. Your practical
application of it to move the counterweight is
wonderfully elegant.

Hey wally, great job not just sharing the
theory but getting up and showing that it works.
I'd like to see some accademics try pulling
multi-ton stones up a slick, ellevated ramp and
see how far they get! Or turning corners on a
spiral version.... In retrospect, many ancient
peoples allmost certainly figured out this same
trick!
Hey, you might want to contact this guy
(another carpenter who's only had enough cash to
[successfully!]test his theory-that small teams
with long levers and the right technique can
also easily move[he estimates up to a mile a
day], raise, and stand massive large and massive
stones-with a single ten-ton concrete block):
http://www.stonehengetheanswer.com
I'm sure he'd appreciate the assistance, and
who knows, you might find that together, your
theories are even stronger and match the record
more fully than either alone! You two certainly
seem to be miles ahead of most archeologists
(save those who actually TEST their theories in
the field;Surprise-levers worked well and
rollers not at all for moving and raising a full-
sized concrete statue on Easter Island)

I was watching the science channel today,
06/19, when the segment on you came on. My jaw
dropped. I have watched, read and listened to
so many "academics" and their opinions with no
clear answers. The techniques you have
rediscovered are so obvious they can't be
disputed. I am betting the pyramids took a lot
less man power than has been theorized. It
would be great if you could obtain a research
grant to further your work. Your research is
more viable than any of the dribble put forth
to date. Best of luck with your continued
project. Be safe, I have feeling there are
other mysteries you could solve.

You are a true genius by any measure or

often we don't give our ancestors enough credit

smart. The answer had always been simple and

Read about you in the Elkhart Truth and just had
to check out your website. I can't say as I
follow all the physics involved but was very
impressed with the video clips on the site.
I would be very interested to see what it
would take for modern man to mine, shape,
transport and place stones as large (and
precise) as the largest stones in the great
pyramid using only primitive divices.
If anyone ever decides to back the project I
believe you may be the man to put in charge of
it.
P.S. Hiding a neighbors detached garage behind
their pole-barn while they are out of town would
definitely make it on america's funniest home
videos.

Hi I came upon your web page, the funny thing is
that when i was a child, my dad moved a very
large steel plate ( about 2 feet thick 8 feet
wide and 10 feet long it was for some type of
machine that was used to bend steel ) 30 feet
and then set it into place. being a kid age 11-
12 I remember him always telling me to watch
what he was doing and learn something.he did his
moving with two half round iron things that he
placed under it. I remember him telling me to
see if I could lift it. I thought he was crazy,
but when I lifted the lever he had stuck to the
top of it, it moved. I have never needed to use
most of the skills he installed in me, being
that I took another road in life, then he had.
You are the only person that I have ever seen do
what he done, my dad would have been 82 if he
were alive today. And now that I have children
of my own, I will do my best to pass these
skills on to them, I only hope that they will
listen, like I did to my dad.when I was in
school I often wondered why they never taught us
to do these things because to me it was common
sense, I was showed
How to do it a very young age and it stuck with
me. I remember telling a teacher about my dad
moving a concrete slap that was the size of a
car onto a truck by himself, I was laughed at
and pretty much called a lier.but I know.....I
know !!! I seen him do this with many things,

VERY IMPRESSED. Have you ever heard of Ed
Linskalin from Homestead, Florida who built Coral
Castle during the 1940's. He claimed to have
know how the ancients built the pyrimids. He
died durign the early 1950's.
Do you have a video for sale. I am inerested.

I would like to see more of how you raised the
blocks and how the larger blocks are moved - I
am still a little foggy on this. It is obvious
if you have a fulcrum dead center of large block
and a lever (your smaller block) on one end, it
is easy to rotate it. However, moving it
laterally is harder. Do you use a larger
wooden "ramp" like you demonstrate in one of
your videos to roll the blocks into place?

Wonderful! Since I was a little girl I've been
facinated with all the incredible archeological
sites I was lucky to see. I always wondered how
they lifted all those large rocks.
Now a grown woman, I'm still fixated with the
subject, and even more facinated as I realise
what it intails to build these structures.
In the last year I've learned the actual formula
for Roman cement. And last night I've stumbled
onto your site. I've shared your site with
several people and everyone is equally excited
at what you have done. Do you have any idea what
it was, what moment where you suddenly had the
clarity, or insight and knew you were on your
way to a solution?
When I was 6 years old, living in Libya I was
sure that someday Leonardo da Vinci would come
back to life and we would converse about his
inventions. Ha! I'm all grown up but I think the
thread that intrigues us as children remains
throughout our life. Thanks for sharing what you
have done. I will be purchasing your video soon.

Hello... Brilliant! Thank you... you have
confirmed my personal discovery (albeit not so
well-defined) learned from excavating a
cave/archaeology site: twist-spinning a rock
moves it relatively easily, and rocking it while
having a small rock nearby to wedge under the gap
(w/ good timing)eventually enables one to get it
rolling...

Ancient miners would drive wooden wedges into
cracks in a cliff and soak them with water. The
expansion could brake off huge chunks of rock.
This method might be considered for the final
precise fitting of megalithic blocks such as in
Machu Picu or the Great Pyramids. Simply place
wedges between the block and somthing that would
offer greater resistance and you will get that
seam that you can't slide a paper through.

Your methods are very interesting. I worked in
the shipping department for NASA and have since
retired. I remember that when I had something
really heavy to put in a crate, I would lay the
crate on it's side, slide the item in, then I
would tilt the box right side up. I also
realized that I could move heavy crates by
tilting them on one corner, balance it and then
piviot it on the corner and set it down. I did
this till I got to where I wanted the crate.
When you were the only one there you had to
improvise. What you are doing looks like great
fun. Do you plan to come out with some kind of
a instruction book on your technigue?

I have used levers, planks for years to move and
lift heavy item.
My dad told me one day when I was about 10 years
old, when I was trying to lift something
heavy..."use your head instead of your back as
much as you can", so after that, I would think
about things.. and low and behold, you can move
more heavy items with your head..than your back!

I recall reading that one researcher studying
the pyramids found an ancient piece of wood in
nearby rubble shaped with flat and curved
sides. He theorized that such pieces of wood
might have been tied to the blocks to
facilitate rolling and pulling them up the side
of the pyramid side using ropes.
Compared the other theories, your method is
much more credible and is just elegant!
Three cheers for going beyond the solution to
providing the public demonstration!

your web site fascinating. I once attended a
lecture many years ago down in Southfield from a

the pyramids were cast in place with a concrete

theory makes a lot of sense since you are
showing how they could do it. More power to you.

Excellent work and great explanations! Perhaps
you have heard of the "Coral Castle" in Florida?
There, one man constructed a large garden of
huge rock structures singlehandedly. Then he
moved the entire construction by himself onto a
truck, unloaded and reconstructed it all at
another site. He too claimed to know the
secrets of the pyramid-builders. Certainly, it
appears that you have developed the methodology
yourself! While he took the knowledge to the
grave, your explanations answer my questions
about such methods. Personally, I've created a
stone bench from blocks weighing many hundreds
of pounds by way of leverage (but no levers).
When I think about doing that, I understand more
of how you can build such things.

Extremely interesting page. Have you ever heard
of the man in Florida who built a village along
the coast entirely out of coral from the ocean?
He did his work at night so that nobody would
see him working and never revealed to the world
his amazing techniques lifting coral weighing
from 100# to in the tons. I saw this on the
Travel Channel I believe last year. I believe
that his techniques must have been very similar
to yours. You are most kind in showing how you
do this as this could be a tremendous asset for

Dear Mr. Wallington,
I just finished reading the article about your
physics achievements in the Flint Journal,
Sunday March 21. I was fascinated by your
research. I also conduct research about the
pyramids at Giza, but for a different reason.
You see, I research the historical, prophetic
relationship the pyramids have in relation to
biblical events. I don't believe it was
just "20,000 hebrew slaves" that constructed
the pyramids.
What I am wondering is, would you be willing to
share with me some of the web sites that you've
encountered that may help me in my research? I
would be very appreciative of any information
you would be kind enough to pass along.
Thank you,

to place them in chimneys and fireplaces. do
you think that your techniques can be adapted
to irregular shaped boulders. please let me
know if your video/dvd would instruct me on how
to accomplish this.. thanks for sharing your
knowledge

Hi Wally,
Just caught your segment on Daily Planet, a
Canadian TV program. Fascinating stuff and
impressive that you move such immense weights by
yourself with almost no technology. Maybe you
are onto the method used by the ancients to move
their stones while building such megalithic
monuments. Keep up the good work.

Just wonderful. I knew there must have been a
way I suspect that you have it figured out. The
reason you could figure it out is that you are
not an engineer or a scientist. You weren't
hindered by previous ideas about moving heavy
objects.
I worked as a horizontal boring mill operator
and lifted very heavy objects. It's all about
where you lift an object and how you go about it
rather than how hard you strain and struggle.
Great Work. You did it... I think if I could I'd
give you an honorary doctorate.

W.T.,
After I caught the segment about your concrete
block moving techniques on the "Daily Planet"
TV show I couldn't get the grin off my face for
hours. Thrilling stuff!
I'm sure you are absolutely right that the
pyramids were not built with ramps and that it
is entirely possible that only one or a handful
of individuals may be responsible for building
Stonehenge (look at Coral Castle as proof of
that).
Great website and you can count me as a
customer of your DVD and future offerings.

You are doing remarkable work! Just two hours
or so ago, I watched a remarkable video of your
work on the Discovery Channel (exn.ca, search
for 'Stonehenge'). It is pleasing that you
offer the logical alternative to those who
think that we need ETs to explain odd things.
What is needed, instead, is smarts, such as
yours! More power to you! (I happen to have a
PhD in nuclear physics, but don't let that
impress you. You are very impressive to me!)
